Kevin L. Woller has degrees in Physics, Geophysics and Geographical Information Science (GIS). Kevin started his career at Mobil Oil Company and later worked at Pioneer Natural Resources. He has experience in many phases and types of geophysical investigations on several continents and offshore areas. While at Pioneer he directed international and domestic US projects totaling over $100 million. The past few years he has been consulting for oil and gas companies.
He is an Associate Professor (Volunteer Faculty) at the University of Kentucky, contributing to studies of lake systems (CHIRP methods), shallow geology (ground penetrating radar (GPR) and seismic imaging) and forensics (GPR). He has employed special techniques using LIDAR data to enhance surficial features beyond the normal data readings. He is also a part-time employee (Special Advisor) at the Center for Applied Energy Research at the University of Kentucky.
